Canoe Douglas Fir Plywood sheathing is a high-strength, unsanded structural panel engineered specifically for the demanding needs of the construction industry. As the original engineered wood product, our plywood panels provide a level of reliability and structural integrity that modern substitutes struggle to match.
Each panel is crafted by laminating layers of high-quality wood veneer with phenolic resin adhesive. Through a process of intense heat and pressure, these layers are cross-laminated—alternating grain directions—to create a panel with exceptional dimensional stability and uniform strength. Once the phenolic resin cures, it becomes a permanent bond that is unaffected by moisture or heat.
Produced to meet CSA 0121 (DFP) and CSA 0151 (CSP) for Canadian Structural Plywood, and US Standard PS-1 for Structural Plywood.
Canoe Douglas Fir Plywood is rated for load-bearing use in both single-family and multi-family residential projects, as well as commercial builds.
Canoe DFP Sheathing is available in standard 4′ x 8′ sheets.
